Seven Worlds, One Planet: BioRescue Mission is a part of the new BBC Documentary Series

The BBC is well-known for their outstanding and award-winning documentaries depicting our planet, its environment and man's relation to nature. The latest of these landmark series' is called "Seven Worlds, One Planet" and dedicated an individual episode to each on planet earth's seven continents. The closing episode "Africa" offers a stunning introduction to ecosystems of the continent and gives a glimpse of a changing world - a change that means huge challenges for wildlife such as the African rhinoceros species. The episode, as usual presented by Sir David Attenborough, briefly introduces the fate of the Northern White Rhino and our mission to save these magnificent creatures from exctinction.

The show aired from October to December this year, the premiere of the Africa episode concluded the show on December 8. Along with the show, the BBC released a short film that extended the few moments with the Northern White Rhinos on the original episode to six minutes. This clip was very well received with almost a million views on Youtube and nearly six million on Facebook to date. Only a few weeks after the airing of the original show the German version could be marveled at at ZDF.
